Wood Group grabs Prelude FLNG deal

Wood Group informed on Tuesday it has won a three-year contract with Shell’s Prelude floating LNG project.

Under the contract, Perth-based Wood Group Kenny will provide consultancy services for flexible riser integrity management prior to and during operation of Prelude FLNG, which will be located 475km north-northeast of Broome in Western Australia, stands in the company’s statement.

WGK will focus on developing and implementing the flexible riser integrity management plan, as well as inspection, monitoring, testing and on call engineering support.

Wood Group Kenny previously designed the subsea flowlines for Shell’s giant Prelude FLNG vessel, expected to start production offshore Western Australia this year.
