Wood Group Wins with TAQA

Wood Group has been awarded a two-year contract extending its service provision for TAQA in the North Sea.

Under the contract, which has the option of three, one-year extensions, Wood Group PSN will continue to deliver engineering, construction and maintenance services to five offshore assets: Cormorant Alpha, North Cormorant, Eider, Tern and Harding.

TAQA operates five platforms which produce from 13 fields spread across the Northern North Sea and the Central North Sea and it also owns equity in fields which are operated by others in the Central North Sea.

TAQA is the operator of the Brent Pipeline which connects its operated Cormorant Alpha platform back to the BP-operated Sullom Voe Terminal.

Effective immediately, the contract extends an agreement in place since 2008.

James Crawford, managing director of WGPSN in the UK and Africa, said: “Our commitment is to work in collaboration with our client to prioritise safety and maximise efficiency and productivity. We will draw upon our robust knowledge of these assets, broad capabilities and relentless focus on providing excellence in our service provision, as we continue our long-standing partnership with this key client.”
