Work on LNG pipeline restarts in India

Petronet LNG informed that work on the Kochi-Koottanadu-Bengaluru-Mangaluru pipeline resumed after three years of halt.

According to The Hindu, the construction restarted despite protests of a group of people trying to disrupt the work.

According to the State of Kerala Chief Secretary Jiji Thomson, the work on the pipeline is planned to be completed within a year.

He added that the state will support Petronet LNG and GAIL in their work on the 508-km pipeline that will help the utilization of Petronet LNG’s Kochi terminal.
