2H Offshore Strengthens Global Management Team

2H Offshore, a riser and conductor specialist in subsea services group Acteon, has promoted Mike Campbell and Ricky Thethi to the role of global director.

Campbell resides on 2H Offshore’s Houston management team. As global director, he is responsible for global technology and providing support to 2H Perth.

Campbell joined the company in 1997 after graduating from the University of Sheffield, UK. He has dedicated his career to riser engineering and has managed a range of projects from conceptual and detailed design, to installation and operational integrity management. His current focus is on continuing 2H’s technical leadership through the development of improved engineering methods, project problem solving and joint industry projects that leverage the company’s vast database of riser, platform and subsea structure field measurements. Campbell has spearheaded 2H’s three most current JIPs: STREAM, Measurement Based Wellhead Fatigue and TRACS.

Thethi joined the company in 1997 and is also part of the 2H Houston management team. He is responsible for globalizing 2H’s riser and subsea integrity engineering capability and business across its worldwide offices.

One of Thethi’s current focuses is digital transformation, including the use of machine learning technology to improve the speed and accuracy of structural analysis, integrity monitoring and life extension of riser systems. Thethi obtained his degree in civil engineering with first class honors from University of Surrey, UK and is a fellow and Chartered Marine Engineer of the IMarEST.

Managing director, Yann Helle said, “The appointment of Mike and Ricky to the global management team will enrich the variety of expertise we offer to our client base worldwide. Machine learning applications and JIPs remain a key strategic growth area for 2H. By promoting Mike and Ricky we have illustrated our commitment to these growing business areas. We are entering a new era in the energy sector and are excited to see what is to come”.

Campbell and Thethi replace 2H Offshore’s founder Hugh Howells who retired at the end of 2018.
