Singapore-based owner and operator of pressurized gas carriers Epic Gas has taken delivery of Epic Sardinia, a 11,000 cubic meter liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carrier, from Kyokuyo Shipyard in Japan.

Epic Sardinia, which is the seventh vessel in Epic Gas’ series of eight newbuildings, was delivered on January 25, 2017, under a long-term bareboat charter with purchase option. According to data provided by VesselsValue, the ship is owned by Japan-based shipping company Kumiai Senpaku.

The delivery of one remaining newbuilding vessel, the 11,000 cubic meter Epic Salina, which is fully funded by Epic Gas, is scheduled for the first quarter of 2017.

On January 10, 2017, the company added Epic Baluan, the sixth newbuilding, to its fleet.

Following the delivery of the remaining LPG carrier, Epic Gas will own and operate a fleet of 41 ships providing seaborne services for the transportation of LPG and petrochemicals.
