Manor Marine Nets Port of London Authority New Vessel Contract

Port of London Authority, under Tender No. 35352-2012 estimated to be worth 5.9 million pounds (approx USD 9.3 million) , recently awarded contract for the construction of a working vessel to Manor Marine.

Manor Marine of Portland is going to construct a 36.5m long specially-designed ship, for maintenance of moorings and salvage work for the Port of London Authority. Port of London Authority received eight offers in total from which the best was Manor Marine’s one. The Mooring Maintenance Vessel should be delivered in early 2013.

Manor Marine was originally founded as a partnership in 1981 and initially concentrated on general construction work. In 1990, MPI Services founded a subsidiary company with the aim of expanding the marine activities of the firm. The companies fast response time, attention to detail and quality of workmanship have resulted in contracts undertaken by the marine departments. The variety of skills available, together with the extensive workshop facilities have also brought numerous enquiries for Manor Marine to construct individual craft. To date the company have made a wide variety of vessels, ranging from small workboats to large passenger vessels.
