China: CIC Boluomiao Shipyard Completes Repair Works for MV H Pioneer

On March 30th, M/V H Pioneer, registered in Turkey, was successfully repaired and redelivered to the owner by CIC Boluomiao Shipyard. The yard left a good impression to the ship-owner with the short repair period, superb technology and good service.

This repair work included the steel work iwo cargo holds and hatch covers, regular docking repair and five cranes overhaul. The cranes had not been used for many years so they needed the refit of the hydraulic and electrical systems. The yard organized a research team. After the ship’s arrival at the yard, the team checked and tested the cranes and recorded the test data so the cause of the fault could be analyzed.

During the repair period, yard finished the measurements of the oil motor, oil pump, etc. orderly; they found that the oil distribution surface of the hoisting and luffing pump had serious wear, the piston cylinder, brake cylinder push rod had a failure also, variable pump control rod was bended and deformed.

At last, the ship was redelivered on time.
