Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Hands Over Bulk Carrier Desert Oasis

Korea’s Hyundai Mipo Dockyard has delivered bulk carrier of 57.400 DWT the M/V Desert Oasis, the last vessel in a series of eight vessels ordered by Atlantic Bulk Carriers Management Ltd. Capt. Nikolaos Tzakis along with Chief Engineer Sevastianos Stamatis will take her on her maiden voyage.

Capt. Tzakis had also taken on her maiden voyage the M/V Desert Calm, the very first vessel in that series of 8 HMD vessels. MV Desrt Calm was named Ship of the Year during Lloyd’s List Greek Shipping Awards 2011.
