UAE: Global Marine Orders Two 42m Aluminum Crew Boats from Grandweld

Grandweld Shipyards has been awarded a contract to design, and build another two 42m aluminum crew boats for Global Marine, after successful delivery of three 41m aluminum crew boats in 2011.

The vessels will represent the third generation of its series with enhanced design and superior performance compared to the two previous generations. These 42m aluminum crew boats achieve speeds in excess of 26 knots and are equipped with external fire fighting, offshore crane, separate VIP passenger area, and security capabilities.

Grandweld is a renowned shipbuilder of light weight aluminum vessels in the offshore industry. The company is currently undertaking construction of  hybrid seismic support vessels, Anchor Handling Tug Supply vessels with DP2 capability, Dive maintenance and support vessels among others.
