CIC changxing Shipyard Completes Repair Works on MV Golden Sakura

The vessel arrived and went into the floating dock- PUTUO SHAN directly on Aug 27th.

Her dimension is 224.94m in lengthen, 32.26m in breadth. This repair was for her 1st 5-year special survey, and the main project included two main bearings and crank pin bearing overhauling, load test for life boats davit, accommodation ladders and provision crane, propeller polishing and dye check, hull painting and so on. These were not a big project, so owner requested to depart directly from the dock in 3 days. Because propeller polishing and main engine bearing overhauling could not carry out at the same time, so the time seemed very tight.

After the ship was lifted up, the supervisors and workshops arranged manpower to start the jobs immediately and coordinated work teams to work in cross operation. Because there were 4 coats of paint for the hull and had to finish within 3 days. In order to finish the painting job in time, the painting supervisor carried out the work as soon as the paint arriving at the shipyard. Although this time was a small repair, the owner’s superintendent was very satisfied with the yard’s good coordination and completion all repair jobs in such tight time.
