Malaysia Shipyard Shin Yang Delivers Third Vessel to Shinline

Malaysian shipping company Shinline has taken delivery of its newbuild general cargo vessel, named ‘Shinline 12’ from domestic shipyard Shin Yang at Kuala Baram, Baird Maritime reports.

This is the third in a row delivery from Shin Yang shipyard and Shinline expects one more next year.

The main characteristic of this vessel is that it is the first ship in Malaysia to incorporate a ballast water management system. ‘Shinline 12’ has 128 metres in length with a beam of 20.5 metres and a draught of 9.17 metres. The 13,500 tonne ‘Shinline 12’ boasts a cargo capacity of 18,000 cubic metres and a price tag of USD27.7 million.

The vessel will be in service in key Asian routes, those being South East Asia, Japan, Korea, China and Taiwan.
