Chengxi Begins Overhaul of MV Corsar and MV Condor

Chengxi Shipyard (Xinrong) Co.,Ltd. has launched the preliminary project modernization work on two German vessels M/V Corsar and M/V Condor owned by Winter Reederei Gmbh & Co KG.

Under the previously signed contract, the work includes: new hold construction which will entail lengthening of approximately 420tons, fabrication of the main deck cargo hatch covers and coaming structure, manual installation of SOPEP and electrical equipment rearrangement.

The activities are being carried out now at Xinrong Shipyard and they are expected to be completed in over a  month, according to completion schedule.

These two vessels are both 10 years old 1850TEU container ships.

They feature an overall length of 105 meters, 24 meters in breadth and a deadweight of 12,400 tons.
