TC0301 Bulk Carrier Goes for Sea Trial1

On August 6, the 1st 51,000 T bulk carrier (TC0301) built for a Chinese owner by Taizhou CATIC Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Limited, left the outfitting wharf for sea trials.

Enduring considerably high temperatures of up to 40 degrees Celsius,  the shipyard’s personnel managed to complete all envisaged tests with flying colors such as loading test of M.E & Steer Gearing, communication & navigation etc which were all carried out according to schedule to ensure the success of the first-time sea trials. All this was enabled by close communication and cooperation between the shipyard’s personnel with the owners and surveyors.

The vessel successfully returned back to the shipyard on August 9.

With respect to the construction specifications the vessel measures 199.95 m in length, 32.26 m, in width, 16.5 m depth and10.5 m in design draft.
