Technical Data

Vessel type: Bulk Carrier

Gross tonnage: 25,889 tons

Summer DWT: 39,042 tons

Length: 188 m

Beam: 30 m

Draught: 10.5 m

The yard’s production department and workshops arranged the labor to start all the jobs after the job inspection on board. The difficulty was the weight of the hatch cover was quite heavy (Max. 50tons/pc) and it’s hard to move ashore by the shore crane. The yard’s workshop instructed the workers to weld the ear plate on hatch cover all night long and finally finish hatch cover sandblasting and steel renewal job on schedule. Another difficulty was all the steel renewal job scattering in various locations and each steel plate was not big. The workers conquered the cold weather and spared no efforts to complete all the repair jobs.
