SKK Migas calls for synergy to support O&G operations

The Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) asked all stakeholders to establish synergy for the purpose of supporting upstream oil and gas operation activities in consideration of the significant contribution towards the state revenues.

SKK Migas calls for synergy to support O&G operationsThis was revealed by the Secretary of SKK Migas Gde Pradnyana in the event of 2014 Operational Forum of SKK Migas and Contractors of Cooperation Contract for Java, Bali, Madura, and Nusa Tenggara Area, taken place in Yogyakarta, 15-16 April 2014.

“One of our issues is the weak synergy and integration of the competent authorities that made them be trapped in their respective regulations. Hopefully, this kind of event will be able to build up relationship inter-various-parties,” Gde Pradnyana said. He added that this 2014 operational forum is one of media for all stakeholders in upstream oil and gas industry to meet up each other and to share their thoughts.

This event was attended by, among others, Head of Bangkalan Regency, Ra Ibnu Makmun Fuad, and several heads of service offices of provinces and regencies located within the area of West Java Province.

“It is expected that this forum will provide us a space to discuss the upstream oil and gas industry and the operation of crude oil mining from both old wells and production wells,” Head of SKK Migas Representative Office for Java, Bali, Madura, and Nusa Tenggara (Jabamanusa) Area, Arief Sukma Widjaja, stated.
