Business & Finance

Offshore Design Engineering Ltd. (ODE) has won an Integrated Services Contract, to continue providing operations and engineering support to all of E.ON Ruhrgas UK’s operated fixed and subsea assets in the UK North Sea.

The contract, worth up to £35M, will also cover the provision of services to any new assets, acquired or developed, that ERUK may add to their portfolio during the term of the contract. Currently, the ERUK assets covered under the contract include the Babbage platform and the subsea production systems of the Rita, Hunter, Johnston and Huntington fields. ODE has contracted Aberdeen-based Flexlife to provide specialist subsea engineering and integrity management services. The contract term is for five years with two further one year extensions exercised at ERUK’s discretion.

Peter Godfrey, ODE Managing Director said, “Operations Support is a core element of ODE’s business, alongside our consulting, engineering and project management services capabilities. Whilst ODE has enjoyed recent success in the international arena, we are delighted to continue winning significant contracts in the UK, where we employ over 300 highly experienced personnel.”

Paul Chilvers, ODE’s Great Yarmouth Regional Director added, “ODE has worked closely with ERUK over the past ten years to develop strong working relationships. This has enabled both companies to establish a highly effective integrated approach to the operations and maintenance of ERUK’s operated assets, whilst at all times ensuring that safety remains the number one priority.

With this latest contract for ERUK, and similar ongoing commitments to RWE, ODE has underlined its position as the leading independent provider of operations support services in the Southern North Sea.”
