Saipem Hires Solstad’s Normand Installer for Jangkrik Work

Solstad Offshore has entered into a contract with PT. Saipem Indonesia for offshore installation works for the Jangkrik floating production unit (FPU).

The company will be utilizing the construction support vessel (CSV) ‘Normand Installer’ to undertake the work.

An EPCI contract for the project was awarded to a consortium led by PT Saipem Indonesia, which includes Hyundai Heavy Industries, PT Tripatra Engineers & Constructors and PT Chiyoda International Indonesia.

In addition, Solstad will provide project management, procurement and logistics support to the project through its Marine Projects group in Singapore and Skudeneshavn, Norway.

Execution of the offshore work in Indonesia will start in Q2 2017 and, including transit, the duration for Normand Installer will be about 100 days.

The companies did not disclose the value of the contract.
