Donggi-Senoro LNG plant in Indonesia has reportedly found buyers for 31 LNG cargoes, it plans to produce in 2017.

Aditya Mandala, corporate affairs director at Donggi-Senoro LNG told reporters that the facility intends to produce 40 cargoes of liquefied natural gas next year, Reuters report.

The nine cargoes that remain without buyers are planned to be sold in the spot market, according to the report.

In 2016, the facility produced 40 cargoes, four more than initially planned, due to a number of factors that supported the upstream production, Mandala added.

The plant has the capacity to produce up to two million tons per year and has long-term contracts with Chubu Electric, Kyushu Electric and Kogas.

Chubu Electric, that now buys LNG through Jera, the company’s joint venture with Tepco, has booked 1 mpta of the plant’s production capacity. Kyushu Electric has booked 0.3 mtpa while South Korea’s Kogas booked 0.7 mtpa.

The $2.8 billion DSLNG plant, located in the province of Central Sulawesi, is owned by Pertamina Hulu Energy, Medco LNG Indonesia and Sulawesi LNG Development, a joint venture between Mitsubishi Corporation and Kogas.
