Gasum of Finland has opened a fueling station in Jyväskylä serving vehicles using compressed biogas (CBG), compressed natural gas (CNG) as well as heavy-duty vehicles running on liquefied natural gas (LNG).

Gasum has received Connecting Europe Facility support to explore the opportunities to construct a refueling station network for heavy-duty vehicles in particular and the deployment and testing of four pilot stations.

In addition to the Jyväskylä station now opened, there are already LNG filling stations in use in Vuosaari, Helsinki, and near the Port of Turku, the company said in a statement.

The next LNG filling station will be opened in Tuupakka, Vantaa, during September 2017.
