Mexico CFE Buys 18 LNG Cargoes

Mexico’s state utility CFE will purchase 18 spot LNG cargoes from Trafigura, an international commodities trading and logistics player.

The cargoes will be delivered over the next 18 months to the 500,000 Mc/d Manzanillo import terminal, built and owned by a consortium of Samsung and Mitsui, each with a stake of 37.5%, and Kogas with 25%.

CFE paid an average price of $15.84 per million British thermal units for the cargoes and the first shipment will reach the Manzanillo terminal on July 19, Bloomberg reported.
