New Bourbon vessel enters into service, first contract in India

Bourbon’s new inspection, maintenance, and repair (IMR) vessel has entered into service and is starting its first long-term contract offshore India.

Bourbon Evolution 810 has diesel-electric propulsion, is fitted with two active heave-compensated cranes with lifting capacities of 40 and 150 tons, and two 200 HP remotely operated vehicles (ROVs).

The vessel is the latest in the Bourbon Evolution 800 series, designed for operations at depths of 2,500-3,000 meters. Bourbon Evolution 810 retains key features of its sisterships and incorporates updates to the DP3 system, propulsion control, and power generation management, Bourbon said.

The vessel was delivered in Singapore this February. It can accommodate 105 persons in 69 cabins.
