A 'Flurry' of Contracts for Viking SeaTech

Viking SeaTech has strengthened its international reputation by securing over £20 million worth of service contracts.

Within the flurry of new deals is an agreement with Lundin Norway.  Viking SeaTech will supply pre-lay equipment and expertise for the Island Innovator drilling rig for the next four years with options for a second pre-lay.

Also included in the recent haul were extensions to current contracts,  with Viking SeaTech signed up to provide ongoing support to operations in Africa, Asia and Australia.  The global partnerships will see Viking SeaTech supply services from its marine and inspection departments.  In addition to core services offered in the new deals, manpower and surveying services will be provided by Viking SeaTech’s new business lines, VS People and Viking SeaTech Survey.

Wolfgang Wandl, Viking SeaTech’s Managing Director Norway, said:  “Partnering with Lundin Norway and the other operators is an example of our strengthening bonds with the major oil companies in the North Sea and beyond. We will work hard to exceed expectations by delivering sophisticated technologies and services to all clients, old and new.

“Our reputation is growing across all regions that we operate in and our portfolio of clients is evolving at speed. These deals secure jobs for the coming year and enhance many of our flourishing departments.  We can come on board at an early stage to work strategically with our customers.  Ultimately that makes projects run smoother, saving both time and money.”
