ABS Group to develop maintenance strategy for Golar’s GoFLNG fleet

ABS Group subsidiary, Genesis Solutions, has been contracted by Golar LNG to develop a maintenance strategy for the latter’s floating LNG fleet based on the GoFLNG technology.

Under the contract, ABS Group will assist Golar LNG in implementing the computerized maintenance management system to support its asset management program, a statement issued on Tuesday reveals.

ABS Group is set to provide a model for asset data, criticality rankings, spare parts analysis, a risk-based inspection strategy, failure mode and effects analysis and a maintenance program for the first GoFLNG facility under construction, the Hilli.

The US$1.2 billion conversion of the LNG carrier Hilli into an FLNG facility is scheduled to be completed by Keppel Shipyard in Singapore by February 2017.

Total production capacity of 1.2 mtpa from the Cameron LNG project where the vessel will be deployed has been booked by Gazprom Marketing & Trading Singapore on an eight-year deal.
