ACE Winches Equips Subsea 7’s DSV Seven Kestrel

ACE Winches has engineered, manufactured and built a diver service module package for Subsea 7’s new dive support vessel, the Seven Kestrel.

According to the company, the diver service module package consists of two five-tonne SWL hydraulic drum winches, three two tonne hydraulic reelers, 130kilowatt hydraulic power unit, two nine tonne SWL hydraulic A-frames, central console station, two hydraulic power blocks, two winch sheaves and three reeler sheaves.

The DSM, which has been built to DNV standards, will be permanently installed on the Seven Kestrel.

In addition to ACE Winches equipment, the 125.4 meters long ship will feature an 18-man twin bell saturation diving system rated to 300m and a heave compensated 120t crane.

The vessel, optimized for operations in the North Sea, will be fit to accommodate 110 persons, including 18 men in SAT.
