Achema books capacity at Lithuanian LNG terminal

Klaipedos Nafta, the operator of the first Lithuanian LNG terminal allocated regasification capacities of 5.84 billion kWh to the Lithuanian fertilizer producer Achema.

The company has booked capacity for the current gas year from October 1, 2016, until September 30, 2017.

Under the agreement, Achema has a terminal capacity usage window from April 1 until September 30 this year.

Besides the terminal capacities allocated to Achema, two other users, Litgas and Lietuvos Duju Tiekimas, reserved capacities at the FSRU Independence, serving as Lithuania’s LNG import terminal.

Lithuania imports LNG from Norway under a supply deal with Statoil that has been revised in January last year, extending it from five to 10 years and upping the import volumes from 2.7 to 3.7 billion cubic meters.
