Additional staff reductions at Aibel

During the course of 2014, Aibel has announced several staff reductions due to reduced workload.

Over the past year, the company’s workload has been declining. This has resulted in several staff reductions. Simultaneously, Aibel has done extensive work to improve its competitiveness within the different business units.

Employees within staff functions as well as  the company’s core business – engineering, procurement, fabrication and project management – have been asked to leave their positions. All eight of Aibel’s Norwegian offices, as well as its international offices, have been affected by the reductions.

Reductions in Aibel

In March 2014 Aibel announced that it will need to reduce staff by 230 employees. The reductions spread over all Norwegian locations, as well as the company’s offices in Petersfield and Singapore.
