ADIK's CEO Attends Seminar on Prospects of Shipbuilding Industry

The CEO of ANADOLU Shipyard, Ertug YASAR, also a board member of GİSBİR (Turkish Shipbuilders Association) attended together with Orkun Ozek, another Board Member of GİSBİR, to “the Seminar on Prospects of Shipbuilding Industry in the OIC countries” organized in Dhaka, Bangladesh on August 31st and September 1st 2012 to represent GİSBİR.

The seminar was well attanded by several delegates from different Islamic countries including Saudi Arabia, Iran, Dubai, Bengladesh, etc…

During the Seminar, Orkun Ozek made a presentation on Turkish Shipbuilding industry and Ertug Yasar presented, thru a film, the LCT project and the LCT vessel built and delievered by ANADOLU Shipyard for the Turkish Navy.

At the end of two days of intense meetings as well as shipyard visits, the seminar participants and delegates decided with full majority to establish an international Association representing Shipbuilders and Shipbuilding industry of Islamic countries. To this end Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Bengladesh are empowered to make the necessary studies.
