Advanced Insulation Clinches Ichthys Contract, Australia

Samsung Heavy Industries has awarded Advanced Insulation Contracting the contract to supply ContraFlame JF120-200 Riser Protection System for the Inpex Ichthys CPF Project.

The scope of work is for the supply and supervision of ContraFlame JF120-200 Riser Protection System on 20 Riser Guide Tubes.

The work scopes shall be completed at Doosan Heavy Industries, Changwon, Gyungnam Korea towards to the end of this year.

SHI will be providing a local work force that will be trained by AIC prior to the start of the application.

The Ichthys field was named after the classical Greek word for “fish”. Most likely resource estimates are 12.8 trillion cubic feet of gas and 527 million barrels of condensate to be produced over an operational life of more than 40 years.

The Ichthys LNG Project is a Joint Venture between INPEX group companies (the Operator), major partner TOTAL group companies and the Australian subsidiaries of Tokyo Gas, Osaka Gas, Chubu Electric Power and Toho Gas.
