Afai Launches Rescue Vessel DONG HAI JIU 202

The Coastal Fast Rescue Vessel DONG HAI JIU 202 built by Afai for China Rescue and Salvage Bureau of Ministry of Transport of the People’s Republic of China, was launched successfully on July 22nd.

The supervision team of ship owner, representatives of CCS Guangzhou Branch and the leaders of Afai jointly witnessed the launching process.

The “DONG HAI JIU 203” is north type and the fifth one of coastal fast rescue vessels contracted and built by Afai, will be in service in the Donghai Rescue Bureau. This vessel type is full aluminum wave-piercing catamaran, propelled by twin engines and twin waterjets, with large deck area, fine navigability, high speed and maneuverability.

She can carry a maximum of 200 rescued people, and meets the relevant requirements of the CCS rules on rescue vessels and aluminum high speed vessels.
