Afai Southern to Build Two High Speed Catamarans (China)

Afai Southern Shipyard (Panyu Guangzhou) Ltd. has signed construction contract for two 40m aluminum high speed catamaran ferries with Shenzhen Pengxing Shipping Co.,Ltd. in Shenzhen.

The basic design and detailed design of this type of ferry will be made by CoCo Yachts Holland B.V., the supplementary approval design and production design will be done by Afai Southern.

This type of ferry has overall length of 40.0m, overall width of 9.3m, depth of 3.4m, design draft 1.2m, with the passenger capacity of 199 persons, design speed 31.5 knots, and CCS class, with high speed, excellent sea keeping, beautiful appearance etc. features.

The two ferries will be delivered in the first quarter of 2014.
