Afai’s Fifth Rescue Vessel Completes Trials

The fifth Coastal Fast Rescue Vessel DONG HAI JIU 202 built by Afai for China Rescue and Salvage Bureau of Ministry of Transport of the People’s Republic of China has returned from sea trials.

During the trials the vessel’s equipment was put to the test. The results showed that the technical performance meets the design requirements and that DONG HAI JIU 202 is ready for delivery.

This vessel is a full aluminum wave-piercing catamaran, propelled by twin engines and twin waterjets, with large deck area, fine navigability, high speed and maneuverability. She has a capacity to carry a maximum of 200 rescued people, and meets the relevant requirements of the CCS rules on rescue vessels and aluminum high speed vessels.
