AGR scoops drilling and well engineering deal with MOL Norge

AGR, a well construction and engineering project management company, has been awarded a frame agreement with Hungarian operator MOL.

AGR said on Thursday that the agreement covered the supply of technical support within drilling and well engineering to the operator’s Norwegian subsidiary.

“The award adds to the ongoing collaboration our two companies have been enjoying in the recent years. Our Reservoir Management already delivers engineering consultancy within reservoir and reservoir geology, G&G, and subsurface technology,” the company added.

The work scope will be carried out by the Stavanger-based Well Management and Consultancy divisions.

Thomas Veseth Saue, regional manager of AGR Consultancy, said: “We are pleased to have been selected by MOL to deliver well and drilling engineering expertise to the operator’s organization. We are working towards a long and strategic relationship between our two companies.”

MOL Group entered Norway in 2015, after acquiring Ithaca Petroleum Norge. MOL Norge’s license portfolio is located in three areas in the North Sea and comprises 21 licenses, eight of which are operated.
