Aibel Builds New Office Building in Norway

Aibel is to build a new office building at Kokstad with space for more than 1000 people.

Aibel’s new office building will be completed Q4 2014, and will have a total of 1000 office spaces on 17,000 square metres and four floors. The address of the building will be Kokstadveien 23, which gives it a central location close to the airport and several of Aibel’s most important business partners.

“Aibel is a rapidly growing company with many long-term contracts. We intend our new building in Bergen to put us in a good position for further growth. Equally important is to give our employees the best possible working environment and inspiration to deliver optimal solutions for our customers,” says CEO Jan Skogseth.

Eco-friendly

The new facilities are not only intended to be functional, but eco-friendly as well. Aibel wants the building to be classified as “Very good” according to the environmental standard “Breem Nor”, qualifying as energy class B. With immediate proximity to the light rail track (Bybanen) and good cycling facilities, Aibel also hopes to give its employees every opportunity for sustainable travel to and from work.

The new building will feature:

– Cycling facilities and changing rooms

– Immediate proximity to a light rail stop

– Established bus services

– 300 parking spaces in the basement

– Large public areas and service functions, such as a gym and kitchenettes

Room for further growth
