Aker BP Appoints New SVP
Aker BP has appointed Marit Blaasmo to the role of senior vice president (SVP) for Health, Safety, Security, Environment & Quality.
She will succeed Jorunn Kvåle and take a seat in the Executive Management Team (EMT) and will report to CEO Karl Johnny Hersvik.
Marit Blaasmo has a broad experience from multiple roles within drilling and wells from both Baker Hughes INTEQ and Equinor.
She joined Aker BP in 2017, where she has been responsible for D&W performance and improvement agenda.
Marit holds a degree in Petroleum Engineering from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
Jorunn Kvåle will take on the position as vice president Valhall New Operating Strategy and will be a part of the asset management team of Per Mikal Hauge, focusing on strategic development of the Valhall field.
The changes will take place as from May 01, 2019.
