Aker BP joins Norwegian subsea cluster

Norwegian oil and gas company Aker BP has joined GCE Subsea Cluster as a new industry partner. 

GCE Subsea is an industry driven initiative focused on innovation and internationalization of the Norwegian subsea cluster.

Tove Ormevik, Offshore Installation Manager, Skarv FPSO at Aker BP, said: “Aker BP values the cluster’s national and international network and their driving role in the industry driven R&D and innovation processes.”

Ormevik concluded: “We also focus on building relations with the Oceans Industries Incubator and the Startup and ScaleUp programs and companies in GCE Subsea, and we believe this will prove to be a useful arena for innovation relevant to our value chain.”

GCE Subsea has 23 partners within industry, R&D, academia and public offices. In return for joining, the cluster’s partners gain access to an arena where they meet potential customers and partners where knowledge and know-how is shared and transferred within the cluster’s 115 partners and members.

GCE Subsea is one of Norway’s three Global Centers of Expertise.
