Aker Solutions Bags Two Åsgard A Contracts from Statoil

Aker Solutions has secured a contract from Statoil for a concept study for the Low Well Production project (LWP) on Åsgard A platform, the Norwegian oil services company said on Friday.

The aim of the LWP is to accommodate Åsgard A for future production with lower well pressure.

The contract includes further options for FEED and EPCI for the LWP project.

In addition to this contract, Statoil has awarded Aker Solutions a contract for the topside Front end Engineering Design (FEED) for Trestakk field tie-in to the existing Åsgard A platform.

The contract also includes an option for further EPCI work.

The Trestakk field is located approximately 27 km southeast of Åsgard A platform.

“We’re very pleased to secure the orders for this major oil and gas field, which will help secure jobs in our MMO business in Norway,” said Per Harald Kongelf, head of Aker Solutions’ Norwegian operations. “We look forward to continuing our good cooperation with Statoil as we together seek to find the most robust and cost-effective solutions for these projects.”
