ALE increases heavy-lift footprint in The Netherlands

Global heavy-lift specialist ALE has signed a deal with steel constructor VDS Staalbouw (VDS) in Flushing, The Netherlands, to store equipment at its yard.

ALE said on Wednesday that this gave it a local footprint in the Zeeland area of The Netherlands and made it easier to work with the local companies.

The yard facility is being used as a storage site for a range of equipment, including SPMTs, power packs, steel mats, transport beams, and offshore equipment.

According to the company, expanding the storage facility would provide ALE with quicker equipment mobilization capabilities, additionally reduce costs, and ensure an immediate response to the clients.

Richard Verhoeff, ALE sales manager, said: “Since the start of this year we have been executing operations within this area, handling a lot of heavy steel structures and cargo, and we wanted to expand our storage resources to better service our clients.

“This structured partnership shows our expansion and growing commercial offering in the Zeeland region of the Netherlands, while further strengthening the relationship and cooperation with VDS.”
