Alphatron, Exmar Ink Deal on Gas Carrier Maintenance

Dutch supplier of integrated bridge solutions Alphatron Marine has signed a full service maintenance contract for six gas carriers with Antwerp-based transporter of liquefied gas products Exmar Shipmanagement.

According to Alphatron, the contract will unburden Exmar by ensuring optimized operation and reducing daily running costs for the next 5 years.

Under the contract, Alphatron Marine will service the vessels’ Joint Research Center (JRC) equipment, as well as navigation and communication equipment onboard. Furthermore, the contract includes equipment that is subjected to mandatory annual certifications and inspections.

The value of the deal has not been disclosed.

Exmar Shipmanagement operates a fleet of five LNG carriers, nine LNGRV Carriers, seven very large gas carriers, thirteen midsize gas carriers, one semi pressurized gas carrier and five fully pressurized gas carriers in addition to three accommodation barges and one FSRU.
