Altus Intervention bags 5-year deal with Maersk Oil

Altus Intervention, a provider of well intervention technologies and services, has secured a contract with Maersk Oil for the provision of a wide range of wireline services.

The contract duration is for a firm five-year period with extension options for further three years. Altus Intervention has previously provided Tractor Conveyance and integrated optimization solutions to Maersk Oil, but the new contract expands the work scope.

This contract builds on existing work scopes and will deliver an integrated package of Logging and Tractor Conveyance services and Wireline deployment operations, whilst providing access to Altus Intervention’s scope of wellbore cleanout, completion manipulation and wellbore access and recovery technologies.

Tor Albert Ersdal, Managing Director of Altus Intervention, stated: “This contract is one of the largest Wireline contracts in Denmark and one of the larger contracts in the North Sea. The award highlights and strengthens Altus Intervention’s position as the preferred provider of cost-effective well intervention technologies.”

Well intervention technologies and services specialists Altus Intervention and Qinterra Technologies are subsidiaries of the Qinterra Group.
