ANGA supports Texas LNG export resolution

America’s Natural Gas Alliance (ANGA) welcomed the passage of Texas S.C.R. 32 resolution.

“This bipartisan measure urges Congress and the president to advance policies that will enable America to export natural gas to ensure our nation’s competitive advantage in energy markets as a global energy leader,” ANGA said in its statement.

Frank J. Macchiarola, executive vice president of government affairs of America’s Natural Gas Alliance said, “Allowing American natural gas access to the global marketplace acknowledges the paradigm shift arising from the shale energy revolution that has resulted in America moving from a posture of energy scarcity to one of energy abundance. These policy changes will benefit American workers and consumers while providing a huge boost to our economy and offering supply diversity to our allies abroad.”

LNG exports will allow the U.S. to enhance its energy security, strengthen the domestic manufacturing base and reduce emissions globally, concluded Macchiarola.
