Angola LNG Marketing cuts numbers in London HQ

Angola LNG’s London-based trading arm, Angola LNG Marketing, has drastically cut the number of employees after the Angola liquefaction plant closed until mid 2015.

Six employees were put on leave ahead of formal severing of ties by the end of the month, reports Reuters.

According to Reuters, Angola LNG Marketing has kept the shipping team in place to manage contracts and vessels on the water but it has stripped back the remainder of the office in London.

The 5.2 mtpa LNG export facility was shut down in April due to a major pipe rupture with exports planned to resume middle next year.
