Apache Updates its North Sea Operations (UK)

Apache Corporation reported that interim repair work on the Forties Bravo to Charlie pipeline was completed on March 6, 2011, and production from Forties Bravo is ramping up to approximately 50 percent of the pre-outage rate of 11,600 barrels of oil per day.

The replacement pipeline is scheduled for completion during September 2011, when the balance of the oil production is forecast to be restored.

Forties Field

Apache has been operating in the Forties Field in the United Kingdom sector of the North Sea since 2003. Investments in facility upgrades and integrity-related projects have increased the efficiency of Forties operations and production over the past six years. In 2009 the North Sea region produced 22.4 million barrels of oil equivalent (MMboe) or approximately 11 percent of our total worldwide production and comprised 7 percent of Apache’s year-end estimated proved reserves.
