Applied LNG agrees supply deal with Sun Metro Transit

Applied LNG on Monday said it has been awarded a contract to supply liquefied natural gas to the City of El Paso’s Sun Metro Transit, from its newly commissioned Midlothian plant.

The mid-scale LNG facility is located 25 miles south of Dallas has a liquefaction capacity of 86,000 gallons per day and an on-site storage of 300,000 gallons.

Sun Metro’s transit buses log more than 13 million passenger trips and travel 79 million passenger miles using natural gas-fueled buses.

Applied LNG provides natural gas solutions to trucking, oilfield, marine, mining, construction, rail, industrial, and agricultural customers. It owns and operates three LNG liquefaction trains, two at the Needle Mountain LNG plant located near Topock, Arizona, and one at the Midlothian LNG plant in Texas.
