Applied LNG starts construction on Midlothian plant

Applied LNG said that construction has started on the first liquefaction train of its Midlothian LNG plant.

The company recently closed a $22.5 million senior secured loan to complete the funding of this project.

The first liquefaction train at the Midlothian plant is expected to be completed in mid-2015, the company informed in a statement.

This will be the company’s third liquefier along with the two currently in operation in Topock, Arizona, and will increase Applied LNG’s production capacity to 258,000 LNG gallons per day.
