Aquabotix Co-Locates with United States Army

UUV Aquabotix has inked an agreement to co-locate with the United States Army through its Joint Munitions Command’s Armament Retooling and Manufacturing Support (ARMS) Program.

Aquabotix will establish a place of business at Radford Army Ammunition Plant (RFAAP) in the state of Virginia.

The co-location enables Aquabotix to expand its product offerings and to pursue contracts that otherwise would have been off-limits, the company said.

In addition, Aquabotix’s participation in the ARMS Program renders Aquabotix eligible to apply for funding from the U.S. Army for facility modifications, equipment upgrades, and improvement projects and for support in the form of marketing and strategic planning.

Whitney Million, Aquabotix’s chief executive officer, said: “The co-location will allow Aquabotix access to technologies, materials, and armaments that support its goal of advancing the development of certain SwarmDiver and other unmanned vehicle capabilities.”
