Aquatic Hosts Subsea 7

Aquatic Engineering & Construction Ltd, an Acteon company, hosted a successful Open Day in Aberdeen and Peterhead, UK, for Subsea 7.

The Open Day programme was designed to showcase Aquatic’s ‘strength in depth’ capabilities as the supplier of offshore powered-reel and tensioner systems, and highlighted the benefits of working with Aquatic.

Presentations by Martin Charles, Aquatic’s chief operating officer, and Gary Lenton, engineering manager, explained Aquatic’s strength in depth across its range of carousels, tensioners and modular drive systems.

An operations yard tour in Peterhead enabled Subsea 7 to see equipment allocated for an imminent Subsea 7 project mobilisation, and the scope and design of Aquatic’s new 120Te tensioner was discussed at Aquatic’s head office in Aberdeen.

A Subsea 7 delegate commented: “My colleagues and I found the sessions very informative and we gained a better understanding of Aquatic’s experience and engineering capabilities as a result. I look forward to encouraging colleagues from other departments in Subsea 7 to attend future Open Days, so they can also see the range of services Aquatic has to offer.”

Martin Charles, COO, Aquatic, said: “It is our intention to have more open and informative interaction with key clients such as Subsea 7, and showcase our capability, experience and strength in depth. An Aquatic Open Day offers both parties the valuable opportunity to spend time discussing how we can add further value to the ongoing customer relationship, and we hope that by enhancing awareness of our capabilities, we will grow opportunities for project work with Subsea 7 in the future. Due to the success of the day, we now plan to expand our client Open Day programme internationally.”
