Argentina: Enarsa drops LNG cargoes tender

State-owned Enarsa has reportedly cancelled its tender seeking nine cargoes of LNG on DES basis for delivery between June and August.

The tender was dropped due to lower than hoped offers, Platts reports, citing market sources.

Five of the nine cargoes were to be delivered to the Bahia Blanca LNG terminal, one in June, three in July and he fifth cargo in August.

The remaining four cargoes were scheduled for delivery to the GNL Escobar in two slots for July and August each.

The price of the offers received has been a faltering stone as Enarsa was not satisfied with the price of around US$5/mmBtu, higher compared to the tender that closed in March that had the prices in the $4/mmBtu region.

It is expected that the Argentinian company will issue a new tender soon.
