Argentina receives Trinidad and Tobago LNG

Argentina’s Escobar import terminal has received a shipment of LNG from Trinidad and Tobago, shipping data shows.

The 126,000 cbm LNG Libra arrived late Tuesday and it is still docked at the Exemplar FSRU, which is being used as an LNG import terminal, according to the data.

GNL Escobar (GNLE), located on the Paraná River, about 30 miles outside Buenos Aires City, is Argentina’s second LNG receiving facility using Excelerate Energy’s GasPort design.

Along with providing increased peak capacity for the high-demand winter months, the facility delivers additional natural gas supply and transport capacity to the Buenos Aires region.

YPF S.A., ENARSA and Excelerate Energy jointly developed GNLE.
