Atkins Appoints Head of Lifecycle Management

Peter, a chartered engineer, will assist in the development and implementation of subsea and pipeline integrity management systems on behalf of Atkins’ global client base. This includes fully-managed service contracts where Atkins is responsible for ensuring safe and cost-effective operations.

Ian Matheson, global technical director, subsea for Atkins, commented: “Peter’s extensive industry experience stands him in great stead, having been responsible for reviewing, setting up and operating integrity management systems in international oil and gas locations including Malaysia, India, Australia, Azerbaijan, Brazil, Norway, United States and the UK. Also, being widely recognised as an expert in his field, government bodies have sought advice from Peter regarding best practice which is activity our teams are often involved with.

“As an international consultancy we are involved with tackling some of the most challenging subsea problems throughout the lifecycle – ranging from deepwater to HPHT facilities – so I look forward to Peter delivering great results for both new and existing clients worldwide.”

Atkins works closely with clients over the full lifecycle of subsea facilities, from early field developments and FEED, through to project delivery and assurance into operations, life extension and decommissioning.
