RDM Inks Contract for Another 32m Passenger Ferry

Adding to Richardson Devine Marine’s (RDM) long list of repeat customers are the Japanese company of Ishigaki Dream Tours. Despite difficult economic times their business has grown and another vessel is required.

This vessel is a new Generation Incat Crowther design with the now characteristic upright bows and attractively styled superstructure. She will also be 32m long with a beam of 8.5m and a passenger capacity of 195. She will join Premium Dream offering cruises and tours of the Southern Japanese, Yaeyama Islands.

The company have been operating the 32m RDM vessel “Premium Dream” which was built and delivered in 2008.

Richardson Devine Marine’s operations are conducted from an impressive 1500 square metre construction facility in the heart of the thriving shipbuilding precinct in Hobart, Tasmania. RDM are members of the Australian Shipbuilders Association and the Tasmanian Marine Network.
